Brexit mini-series: (1) UK government guidance on civil jurisdiction

The government has released detailed guidance on jurisdiction and applicable law. This document, which effectively confirms the position as set out in our recent blog post, is required reading for cross-border practitioners.

The guidance document also confirms that the UK is still seeking future accession to the Lugano Convention.
